Moore & Sandhills Voices is primarily an opinion blog. Occasionally, it publishes news stories, interviews or highlights of other Sandhills citizens, community events, and content written by writers other than the editor. Mostly though, it posts opinion. The administrator/editor is a community based journalist who writes and publishes opinion pieces. Although most Moore Voices content is 0pinion based, Cheryl and other contributors will always base all commentaries on and back up all statements with facts.
Fair Warning! Moore Voices is more liberal than most political commentary in Moore County. So, don't say you weren't warned!

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PSA: PUBLIC SCHOOL ADVOCATES
PSA of Moore County is proud to be one of 144 organizations to sign on to the Brief of Amicus Curiae that has been filed with the NC Supreme Court in support of the Leandro Plan.

We are so excited about all of the energy and support for the Leandro Plan, and we want to keep the momentum leading up to the Supreme Court hearing at the end of August. Our Leandro Week of Action includes a kickoff event at Halifax Mall, a press event and prayer vigil at the NC Supreme Court, and a hearing debrief with attorneys from the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

NC Supreme Court Upholds Leandro Ruling
The North Carolina Supreme Court has ordered the North Carolina General Assembly to fund the Leandro Plan.
